Были в "Даче на Покровке", слушали Веру Полозкову .
В очередной раз я удивилась как всё складывается у меня, когда есть сильное желание. Сегодня под утро попалось в инете Верочкино пение, захотелось послушать живьём, и опаньки, нашёлся концерт сегодня в семь)
И подходящая для этого мероприятия подруга смогла вырваться от дома и детей и пойти со мной))
Очень хотелось поделиться с ней Верой)
Боялась что ей не понравится, что я ошибаюсь, что будет фальшь и совсем не то что я представляю, или что место окажется противным псевдодомашним и народу будет слишком много)
но всё было даже лучше чем я думала, в Вере ни капли фальши. Было очень уютно, без фанатизма, местами смешно, иногда прошибало на слёзы когда она попадала по больному) Стихи и песни звучали очень. Она меня вдохновляет, чёто где-то развернулось, захотелось рисовать , чего давно не было.
Потом посидели попили вина , поговорили обо всём, не торопясь, что тоже дорогого стоит.
Как хорошо что есть такие подруги и такие концерты.

does anyone need a moleskine notebook (pocket sized) that wants it for writing, not art? i accidentally bought the plain unlined moleskine when i meant to buy the sketch-book one that has thicker paper. the one i had is the one with the green label. any takers! i could post it off to you post-haste. hate to waste.

i think i am still looking at going to school in ny or somewhere close to that. if nothing else the draw to be that close to a major metropolitan area and amazing museums is very tempting. i've also thought about school overseas. but as nice as that sounds and whereas i'm not worried about the language barrier, i am slightly upset about how much my work for school is inspired by greece and rome. there's not enough of other cultures or even our culture. now i don't want to do something typically american if there is such a thing. it's not like i'm going to be off making bob ross landscapes. i really don't know what i want to do. i see people writing artist statements or preparing thesis and well...that's nice for them but i'm stuck. i don't care about feminism. i don't care specifically about just social change or just the environment. i feel like some of the stuff i want to draw simply doesn't match some of the stuff i have drawn. and that my professors don't know what to expect from me. they say they like my work but they don't really say why. i've heard "theatrical," "more fantasy stuff," "crazy weird animals and fairy tales," but i can't write anything about that. "hi my name is tia and i like animals and people and life and death and struggles and uhm...everything?" if i wanna draw a boat and a dragon and a still life and put that all up i want to be able to and not have to conform to a particular subject. i just feel like i'm done with this university bullshit and esp. certain professors in general. i've got a plan to get me through this next semester and during that time hopefully i'll finally start liking my art enough to not be ashamed and show you guys.

Сегодня один из тех дней, когда я просыпаюсь с ощущением, что совершенно выспалась, не мою голову, потому что знаю, что никуда сегодня не пойду, полдня хожу в пижаме, просто потому, что в ней уютно, и весь день сижу за монитором. В последнем хорошего мало, но у меня есть оправдание. Даже два оправдания)) Я начала готовить работу на университетский фестиваль рекламы и смотреть "Дарью") Как человек, который вот уже который год живёт без телевизора, я совершенно не подозревала о существовании этого сериала, и он меня так зацепил, что скоро можете ждать фан-арт на тему))
Слушаю EP Teel Day божественного Ромы Mujuice Литвинова, пью чай с Каракумом и наслаждаюсь ленивой субботой... Мррры)
От этой музыки с неба должен полететь пух из крыльев ангелов или хотя бы просто снег крупными хлопьями...

Well, well, well, I think my hunch is proving me right once again. I don't seem to trust some of my sister's friends and over time, the surface is starting to crack for my own viewing pleasure. The foundation's cracking, the make-up's melting so you better check your not-so-innocent self in the mirror before you wanna hustle, girrrl. Think twice if you wanna mess with my sis because licking my ass won't help you one bit, FYI.

One of the Faerie Con crew, on learning that there was a fedora-and-pinstripes Fairy Godmother on the premises:
"We have known each other many years, but this is the first time you've come to me for counsel. I can't remember the last time you invited me to your toadstool for thistledew and cakes, and me bein' godmother to your only child."
I did suggest that if people were getting out of line and not showing the Godmother the respect she deserved, that they might wake up one morning to find a severed unicorn's head in their bed. Gotta send the right message, you see. They too could be an endangered species. It could be arranged.
And there were bad Marlon Brando accents all around.
I love it when disparate fandoms collide, I really do.

This is a home show of holiday shopping and fundraising for Prosthetics Outreach Foundation. There are three other artists as well:
Eco-friendly hand forged jewelry handmade by Jill Jandreau - Hats, scarves, and bags handmade by Tory Browning and Silpada Jewelry represented by Jodi Griffiths.
Each artist will be donating a portion of their sales to Prosthetics Outreach Foundation.

i drew this a few weeks ago. goodness, i am glad i am not a crow today. i mean in addition to the whole west nile virus thing, it is howling windy out. and rainy, the weather man said 6 goulashes on a scale of 1-10! i am wearing my cute rain boots for sure today. but i'd rather just hole up and draw! perhaps i shall do that tomorrow!
